Rock'n roll movement 50s.

We are going to talk about the Rock’n roll movement since the 50s. The rock’n roll movement was born at the end of the 40s and the beginning of the 50s in the US. It is first inspired from the rhythm and blues (blues, jazz, gospel, boogie woogie etc.). The main instruments used in this type of music were the battery, the guitar, the piano, the saxophone and don’t forget the singer of course. It was also influenced by country music. Due to phonography and vinylique industry, this music became popular in the US during the 50s. But television series and films helps us a lot to massively diffuse the phenomena all around the world. The main reason why the rock movement became a culture by its own is just because people were looking to a sound testing and sound inventions. First, rock music was used to distinguish African American music from white people music in the US for racial and political reasons at that time. The white community who was engage on social plans rejected this style of music which was considered to be barbarous. The first big broadcasting of rock’n roll music was in 1951 with Alan Freed who was the first white men to support black artists, he played The Devil’s music. After in 1957, Chuck Benny marked a few generations with his music title Johnny B Goode taken back by Elvis Presley, ACDC on the Beatles.

Here is a list of a few groups of rock’n roll music that I really like, enjoy!

  • Aerosmith
  • The Who
  • Led Zeppeline
  • Radiohead
  • ACDC
